The Embossing Folder Stamping technique is so much fun.
I used four shades of blue Memento dew drops (the small dew drop ink pads let me stamp different colours in small amounts).
The first time I did it, I used the three darker colours all over the ef and it was too dark for my sentiment to show up. This time, I cut a rough shape of the sentiment on scrap paper, laid it over the ef, used the three darker inks around it, and then used the pale Summer Sky in the area where the sentiment was to go. I spritzed it all lightly with water and put my cs in the ef.
Once it was dry, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, bordered it with black, and used a white cardbase.

LOVE your sentiment, Susan...it is the true focus of your card. The bg is beautifully done, but it is THE SENTIMENT in my mind. Fabulous card to give comfort to someone who is bereaved.

your technique for allowing the sentiment to show more clearly worked perfectly! Beautiful card and fabulous sentiment!
