I just realised this fits so well with the MIX106 I {Heart} Colors today, I couldn't resist adding the mix link.
I'm posting this card for the mixed media challenge #8 Love, mixed media monthly challenge #9 Pink and the Simon says challenge red and pink. http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/ http://mixedmediamc.blogspot.ca/2015...e-9-think.html http://themixedmediacardchallenge.bl...abel/challenge, my inspiration comes from Hermine Koster https://herminesplace.wordpress.com/
Hermine's an amazing artist, I've learned a lot from her with her posts on using brusho and bister. She did a great tutorial on Viva las vagas stamps on vintage collage cards. This is the first time I've tried it but these are so much fun to do. http://vivalas.blogspot.nl/2015/02/v...age-cards.html
The background is made up of 4 different sheets of paper stamped and sprinkled with brusho and bister then spritzed with water. These are torn into strips and layered in alternating colours.
The main image has been stamped, coloured and then stenciled. The end result is a very colourful collage image. I hope you like it

Holy Mackerel! There are so many outstanding features on this gorgeous creation. I particularly love the centre panel with the paperclip on the corner and of course that strategically placed burlap strip. Way to 'do' art!! Love it all.

You are the queen of mixed media and collage! WOW on those background papers and love the main image! It appears you glittered the dragonfly in two colors! What a beautiful look! I am mixed media challenged and THIS one goes right into favorites!
