A few weeks ago my mum had surgery on her foot and I wanted to make her a card that she'd get a kick out of! (no pun intended Mum)
I wanted to make it as clean and simple as I could with only a few colours.
The band aid is made from craft cardstock, just a strip of cardstock rounded the corners and ran the strip with a Swiss Dots embossing folder thru the BigShot, glued 3 squares on top of each other to give the cushion portion some depth and inked the edges. The band aid keeps the card closed, I used zig2way glue for the dry bond on the right side so you can open and close the card again.
The Art Impressions image is called Nurse and I coloured her with pencils and markers. Placed the finished image on some craft cardstock and placed that on a square of red vinyl. ( I made the stitch cutting with the Silhouette Cameo as well as the red cross and the lettering) The pills are made with a circle punch and then scored in half and the capsules are hand cut out of a piece of white scrap cardstock and some red vinyl, I inked the edges a bit to make them more realistic looking.
As for the wording on the card it's in Dutch.
On the front it says: ZIEK? = SICK?
On the left inside it says: Van Harte Beterschap = Speedy Recovery or GET WELL
On the right inside it says: hopelijk ben je snel weer op de been! = hopefully your quickly back on your feet!
In the Netherlands we have a saying: als pleister op de wonde, translated = as a band aid on the wound.
You would say that If you give something to someone that had some bad luck or something happened to them, to make it all right. In my mums case she wasn't able to walk for a few weeks and I wanted to cheer her up so I filled the little bag with chocolates and gave it to her with the card.
The little bag is from my stash just laying around, it's either made with the Cricut or the Silhouette Cameo. I glued on a band aid to match the card.

Please give your mum this message....hopelijk ben je snel weer op de been. OK I confess, I did a cut and paste from your description hehehe. This is terrific Elisabeth and seriously I do hope your mum is back on her feet soon.
