I return to work monday after a 2 months medical leave after Spinal Fusion surgery. This monolith is a representative of all I have learned since rekindling my cardmaking hobby last summer. I made the flower at a class, I made the dragonfly using Fimo, the frame is layers upon layers of all of the embellishments I bought or hand made. Some were acquired from family, other items from friends. I was going to paint the entire thing Finnebar style but being that this is my first elaborate media piece of wall art, I couldn't bear to color over it. Instead I bought antique gold gilder's paste and accented everything with it to give it more uniformity. Now it will hang in my studio reminding me of all the new skills and techniques I have learned! Thank you SCS. for providing a great learning environment for me!

what a beautiful symbol of your talents and skills. I hope you are healing well from your surgery and transitioning back to the work force with ease. I do not think I could have painted it either. Great job! Hugs to you, NR
