A birthday card for a male friend. It's also for the USEIT2015 challenge to use previously uninked stamps. Even though I have not had this stamp too long, it's never been inked and wouldn't have been, except for this challenge. I did the background in the faux patina technique. I inked the front of the embossing folder with SU soft sky ink and then embossed the white paper. Then I lightly applied direct to paper inks in brown, turquoise and black. Then randomly touched the paper with versamark and sprinkled some silver ep on some spots and copper ep on other spots, and heat embossed. I brayered over the image panel with SU bliss blue and soft sky and because I didn't put a mask over the car, I needed to paint the whitewalls with acrylic paint, but I painted a bit outside the lines, so I'm not sure this card would be a comfortable ride!

Ina, I just LOVE the metallic effect you achieved with your embossing folder and love that image for a masculine card! It looks like it would be a hoot to ride in! I just may have to try your background technique!

Love your masculine card. The background is perfect for the antique car stamp. I am going to dig in my stash and find an old car and give this technique a try. TFS
