I made this card for Thursday's Ways to Use challenge "From the Kitchen." I used the salted background. I've seen it a few times and really wanted to try it. I really like the effect it has on the card stock. I may be trying this again soon.
I added glossy accents to my raindrops. The sentiment was hand printed. I just wish I could print better. The umbrella is a die cut from "Life's a Beach."
The inside says, "Family and Friends are shelter from Life's storms." It will be going to my cousin who is currently enduring some pretty serious medical problems. Hopefully it will bring her some comfort.
Thanks for looking.

Ink: lovely lilac, night of navy, brilliant blue, ballet blue, and bashful blue. I also colored around the clouds with bordering blue, almost amethyst, and lavendar lace. The umbrella was colored with real red and fabrico orange.

Oh, fabulous background! It's perfectly beautiful, and I'm glad you've left most of it showing. It gives a great rainy effect. The pop of colour from the umbrella is super, too. I'm sure your cousin will love this.

Really cool salt technique. The umbrella is really cute and the raindrops are cool. The sentiment is really nice too. I'm sure the ailing family member will like it and appreciate the thought behind it. TFS
