Hello all,
I started working on this card a few days ago and got busy with other things. That was a good thing because in the mean time I got ideas from f.schles (white pen) and Susie Australia (stamping the tree/bushes in black around the edges). I also decided last night, because I didn't like how my bg turned out very well, to add the salt and I do like it better. I figure it looks like the sky is full of fairy dust or fireflies or something...in fact, I added Stickles to the salt marks. The two squirrels have a cute little pink heart in-between them with Smooches Top Coat on it to make it shimmer. I used white acrylic paint to add some shine to the big tree branch and squirrels (at first the squirrels ended up looking like skunks so I colored some of the white with black to get rid of the skunk look). I might add a sentiment I have that says "I'm nuts about you" but it depends on if I actually give it to someone...how many cards can I give my honey afterall. I actually made this for the F4A but added the heart so I could do the MIX challenge too. It has plenty of media used to make it MIX. I used the white pen to outline some of the trees for shine.
Thanks for looking!

FAB card, Robin, and I love your salted sky...really one of the better examples that I've seen here on SCS. Guess those squirrels will be making more squirrels soon. ; ) (Around here...they are considered pests) Great colors and terrific design.

I love the night glow on your bushes and the squirrels are just so adorable in the moonlight. Wonderful salt technique.

Love your highlighting of those branches, Robin! This is SO much easier than trying to double stamp all those branches! Love the idea of the squirrels with the heart between them! Oh, I say give him ALL the Valentines (grin). Your background is GORGEOUS! It has just a magical feel to it! This turned out just beautiful!

What a special card. Love those two little squirrels - we don't have any here - what a pity. I will have to go back to Canada to see them again. I will swap you a pair of possums for a pair of squirrels (he he). Back to that lovely card - love the way you created your beautiful background and the silhouetted images are just perfect.

LOL I was going to offer a squirrel / possum exchange, but I see Helen beat me to it!! Miss Robin this is beyond cut. The background is incredible, you really mastered the salt technique and I love all the branches. Everything about this is magical my friend.
