After seeing Susie Australia's card and reading about all her fun techniques, I had to play in the WT challenge. Susie used all kinds of fun things. Reminded me of some of the super fun cards Pat Smethers made. So I drug out one of my favorite images and covered it in coffee grounds and glue - I cased this wonderful card by Pat circa 2009:
Then I put on a couple of layers of Stickles. The very bottom yellowish layer of my card is a piece of parchment paper (I didn't have any wax paper) that I cut down, ran through an ef, sprayed with Fireworks spray and sprinkled with Spanish Paprika out of my spice cabinet. The wet spice wouldn't seem to dry, so I wiped off most of it and loved the resulting color made by the spice and the ink mixed together.
Saw a cool bg done by Sabrina (Cook22) where she did a million little dots to color the bg of her image so I did that with my bg too. I think I got my dots too close together because they blended in together too much. I still love the results - thanks for the idea Sabrina!
What a terribly fun challenge. After reading what others have done with kitchen supplies, I have to ask myself why we spend so much money on new stuff when we could just be raiding our pantries. LOL! Hugz
PS - Fireworks spray is a glitter mist with some really cool colors. When it comes out, it doesn't come out all the same - it comes out more concentrated on the edges -not sure why but that is what happens. I learned about it from calex when I saw this great card she did:
It was pricey for the size so I only ordered one pack from Amazon (click to Amazon using the link from this site so the volunteers will get treats) - but I love it so I will get more when I get more money! LOL!

Nancy, this is amazing......love all the techniques you used. Your image is perfect, and the cake looks amazing. The ribbon and the spoon even add more to this charming card. I love the backsplash in your kitchen. tfs

OMGosh, this is too adorable. Very creative and very sweet. You always seem to have the stamps that relate to all the challenges. Wow, I'd love to see your craft studio. You wouldn't want to see mine: it's in the kitchen ~ in all the cabinets. It's not pretty when you open those cabinet doors.

Oh, oh - the Diva chef! I'm so glad she's come along to cook something up with you, Nancy, and I bet her cake smells simply divine. So long as it wasn't smoked paprika, LOL, I'm not sure that would mix with the coffee. This will be like the card with a sprig of thyme on it that I sent someone, whoever you send it to will enjoy it with several senses and not just sight.
Sorry you had trouble with your Pointillism, I can't imagine how many hundreds of dots you must have made for them to blend together!!
