During the last two months of medical leave I've baked a boatload of DIY Enamel Dots from Perler Beads. I was initially very optimistic that I could bake all 10k of them. I think I only ended up with about 1/2 baked. There was a learning curve and I had some misfires with pink and red so this cute heart shaped card is a mix of my good and bad dots. I edged the heart with some lace and added a pink suede hanger. I think my husband is going to receive this on the 14th with another card that will be his serious card, this will be the fun one

When I first saw this photo, I thought maybe the beads were jelly beans and could be eaten. OK, no, but they look good enough to eat. A very cute idea, well executed. Love the lace!

I initially thought this was candy too! LOL But what a great way to use those beads...I had seen videos, but haven't tried it myself yet
