| | This card is for yesterday's sketch challenge. I think this is going to be one of my favorite cards. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I used my stipple brushes for the first time to apply craft vanilla ink to the background. I also used them to shade around the grapes and leaves. I used my SU markers on the stamps and spritzed lightly with water. When I finished the background I decided I wanted to use a cluster of grapes as my main image and realized I didn't have any grape stamps. I went to my fresh fruit stamps and thought I would compromise by using the apple or pear, but when I saw the cherry a light bulb when off and I stamped a few to use as masks and then got busy trying to come up with a cluster of grapes. I used the cherry stem to make the grape stem. I then used close to cocoa paper and cut tiny little strips, wet them and wrapped them around a toothpick. I let that dry and applied the strips as tiny little vines at the top of the cluster, together with a couple of little cut out leaves. I really had a lot of creative fun making this card. |
