This week we are headed to Lawrence, KS - to bring some cheer to Noah - a young man who is having some serious health issues.
This is the first time I have used this moose image - from Stampin Up's "Walk in the Wild" set.
I stamped the moose. Punched out a circle and placed over the moose's antlers (this will be for the moon). Stamped the moose again on scrap paper and cut out for a mask. Placed overtop of the moose. Stamped on the trees. Sponged int the grassy meadow. Sponged on some clouds with soft sky ink. Next I sponged and dragged (direct to paper) ruby red, really rust, pale plum and lavender lace inks to get the sunset effect. I coloured the moose, trees and grasses. Stamped on the sentiment. Matted with brown card stock. Sewed around edges. I sewed the burlap ribbon onto the mellow moss card stock. Matted with brown card stock. Popped up the image panel.
I am really pleased with how this turned out.
I want to thank Tracy (3boymom) as I was inspired by this beautiful card Moose at Sunset
Thanks for looking,
Hugs..Pat

This card is so gorgeous I'd frame it and hang it on my wall! The coloring and stamping on this is amazing. I'd never guess it wasn't a color picture printed off my printer!

What a gorgeous scene, Pat! The sky is one I could look it for a long time. Ha, it reminds me of the time we walked ALL the way through the park to see if we could find a pannier that had dropped off a bike DH had borrowed. It was a long walk, and our only reward was a beautiful winter sunset sky something like this. The grassy foreground is wonderful too - and the burlap ribbon adds an extra masculine touch.

This is incredible. Love how you have created the "forest" setting to showcase your beautiful Moose - I will get to see one of these in the wild one day. This card is definitely nature at its best.
