Happy Monday. I made this card for my husband (Rob) for Valentines day. We both love the water... we have kayaks and a small motorized boat, plus we love just sitting by the water and enjoying the view. This card took me many hours to make - and I am very happy with how it turned out. I stamped the couple with memento black ink on white card stock. Colour image with copic markers. Masked the image and sponged in the water (bashful blue ink). Sponged on the clouds with soft sky ink. Stamped on the tall grass (from "Wetlands" set) I made the mountains, islands. Stamped on the sea gulls and the sentiment. Matted image image guava and black card stock. Sewed around image. Added the photo corders. Outlined panels with silver metallic sharpie. Added the silver brads and the little heart flowers (applied stickles).
I made the bottom panel - using two different do's - created a pinwheel design. Matted with black card stock and sewed together. Edged panels with silver shape. Popped up image panel. Assembled card & finished the inside.
This works for two older technique challenges - TLC28 - masking and TLC304 - faux or real sewing.
Hugs..Pat

Wow, Pat, you have put a lot of work into this beautiful card, I do hope your DH appreciates it!!! Love your water scene - this could be my DH, John and I, too - we both love the water, have a double kayak and a Heron sailing boat.

This is gorgeous, Pat, and I love that there is so much meaning behind it. I can 'feel' the peacfulness and quiet of this scene. You did a fantastic job of using multiple different stamps an techniques to create this.
