This page is for the Stash Busters challenge to use strips of scraps on the background and chipboard. I cut varying widths of dotted scraps, pasted them to a sheet of SU-Crumb Cake, brushed on and wiped off gesso. The gesso gave a softer, more unified bg, yet allowed a hint of the pattern to show through. When dry I was able to stamp the lamb and the stars. I stamped the stars again on white and cut two solid ones out to paste over the stamped image because of the valley between the strips didn't produce a complete impression. I die cut the More Mustard circle, hand cut the two red flags from scraps, and stamped the "I love you to the moon and back" image on white. Over a layer of soft gel medium I brushed on some Pearl Ex on the white.
The photos are from a year ago when I flew my Tiny Tot back to Virginia. The 1st is us on the plane, the other is her giving mommy a hug in the airport.

I love your story about the pictures, your layout is a very creative way to use another medium yet attain the perfect look. I have never used Gesso, looked at it several times, but never envisioned using it in my scrapbooks. Will have to look at that again! So glad you played in the challenge! TFS

I've never used gesso, but you sure know how to use it well!! Love how this turned out--the stamping is a nice touch along with all the other things you used. Sweet pics!
