It's Lisa's first challenge as a WTUI hostess ~ WT516 Beads.
I've combined it with Vicky's last challenge for January to the CCEE Stampers. Her first challenge for the New Year was to use a bird - I've managed to work birds into four out of five of her challenges .
I've never had much luck in the past with Bleached Out Images, but I gave it a go. In the past I've tried several papers, and fresh bleach. This time I had some kraft that I knew was SU, so I gave that a go - with fresh bleach - and hey presto, success.
Then I coloured my bird with Inktense pencils, leaving some of the bleached card uncoloured.
I rounded the top corners, layered it onto white card and added some punched borders along the bottom for a garden fence feel.
For base - DTP with Bundled Sage and Pine Needles, misted with water, wiped with green chalk pastel scraped over it. Stamped with IO Wavy Lines in Versafine Sepia, edges sponged with brown.
I used some microbeads for the centres of the dogwood and the Primas - and then when I was looking for some leaf sequins I used to have, I found some little glass beads which were a great colour to go with my base, so I gave up looking for the sequins.

Thank you so much for doing a card for my first ever hostess challenge. Oh my goodness I love the bleached out color on your card. This card is so beautiful the the beads you added to your flowers are a perfect addition to your card. Your coloring on your bird is fantastic. Fantastic card! Hugs!!!

Wow Sabrina this is absolutely gorgeous. No one uses bird stamps quite as lovely as you do. Your bleaching technique looks great. Customs Department would have a field day with this....beads and bleach. After a traumatic journey, your little beaded Koala is attached to my craft lamp and I smile at him everyday!!!

You know I love the birds! Your bleaching turned out beautifully as did your card. Love the beads in the flowers. I'd say you won the "bird challenge" this month, Sabrina. TFS!

FABULOUS bkgrd and very pretty bird, Sabrina! Like the bead center flowers, too. I used to have some small, bridal pearl beads. Hmmm. Where did I put them? Hee.
