I used my Bister blue powder to create the background but wanted to leave the centre free for my snowman. My friend Christine (calex) showed me a technique she uses where she die cuts a mask for the centre. I die cut an oval mask, placed it on my coated cs, then sprinkled a bit of blue bister around it, spritzed with water, and let it air dry before removing the mask. I got some seepage under the mask but I quite like the effect - makes it look frostier.
I stamped my snowman and sentiment, coloured bits of the snowman with tombow markers, then sprinkled with shabby blue embossing enamel which has fine white and blue ep and larger bits of white and gold in the mixture. I heated it from underneath so it wouldn't blow off. Then popped the panel up on dimensionals.

Susan, I would call this a bewitchingly beauteous blizzard! I've got to find this Bister blue powder because your technique and your card are outstanding!

This is GORGEOUS, Susan...I'm unfamiliar with this "blister" medium, but the results you get with it look like free-form, wet-in-wet watercolor which I LOVE!!

Great job with the background, Susan! Can't say I'm having a lot of luck with my bisters. The snowman is adorable on his frosty background!
