Sabrina asked us to stamp in white onto white paper & then color. I knew there was a bit of detail in the stamp, but I really thought it would be like a resist - NOT! I tried gently rubbing after coloring with SU pastels & make-up brushes. The color did not come off the embossing. I used a 'stiff' eyebrow color brush & a lipsitck brush to color with Garden Green, Barely Banana, & Cameo Coral. Since the white embossing didn't show up as white, I didn't like the white background so added some Bliss Blue with a softer brow brush. I don't wear make-up but I love using these brushes for chalks. I used the stippling technique to add more color for the shading. Even if this isn't quite the effect I wanted, I like how it came out.
Thanks Sabrina for this challenge and...
thanks for stopping by.

Karen this is jaw dropping gorgeous (and looks fantastic sitting in My Favs folder). The embossing powder has made the veins in the flowers and leaves look so realistic. Everything about this is beatiful my friend.

This is so soft and pretty! I love how we can all get such different looks with the same technique!

I wouldn't have thought chalks would work this way, Karen, but your humongous flower looks quite charming, don't you think? There's lots of depth and different shades...very nicely done, MF! Your love for snowmen is growing, and I can definitely take that stamp set on our next outing~
