This week's Mixability Challenge was to pick a colour, any colour, but just one - well I had to choose green, of course - opting for mint tones on this card!
I started by painting spearmint acrylic paint onto white c/s and, when dry, embossing with the lacy EF. I coloured the flower stamp using markers and misted before stamping. I then coloured the leaves in coastal cabana with a blender pen and the flower using my Zig Wink of Stella pen. Lightly sponged around the image while it was still in the die cut. My larger square die cut I stamped with canvas stamp and used marker pen and wink of stella pen on the edges. Stamped sentiment and then die cut and adhered to card. For the butterfly I sprayed some Mr Huey's Mint Julep Glimmer Mist onto some white c/s, let it dry, and then punched with the butterfly punch. I also punched a butterfly with coastal cabana c/s. Joined the 2 butterflies together in the centre with a dot of glue and then I added a pearl, coloured with coastal cabana ink, to the centre of the flower and butterfly.
TFL!!

Gorgeous. I have been on a Coastal Cabana kick for a couple of days now, so this caught my eye immediately. Really nice composition, & I love all the textures you used.

BEAUTIFUL, Sue.....love the color that you chose, so soothing and soft. Your central floral is wonderfully colored and the pearl added as a center. Great idea to coat CS with acrylic paint to have any color that you want. The embossing adds to its beauty.

A WOW card..LOVE the mint color! Good idea to paint the cardstock and then emboss...I also like the way you did the sentiment on that fancy die and adding it to the bottom of the image panel. Lovely!

This is just so beautiful. I love that soft mint green - and the way you have painted and embossed the background. Also - what a beautifully coloured image to match.
