I have a very hard time getting good solid coverage on solid stamps with this one where all that solid sky is the part that gets stamped.
The only way I can get half-decent coverage when using a stamp like this is to use fionna51's tip - for stamps with a large solid area, it's easier to ink up with a few tones of the same colour, rather than trying to get even coverage with just one ink. So that's what I did here - I used three tones of Distress ink. Even so, it is patchy, uneven in its intensity, etc. And the little snowflakes that are part of the stamp don't really show up (so I added tiny gemstones to some of them - sorry, they are hard to see in the photo).
It's okay and good enough to turn into a card, but if you want perfect even solid coverage with just one ink, the new MISTI is the answer. My MISTI arrived yesterday so I did this card to show the pre-MISTI version. It's okay and the patchy ink has its own charm. But for really good ink coverage, see the same image done with a MISTI on this card:

This reminds me of viewing the night sky in rural Arizona! You can almost see the Milky Way!! I did see your other card, and it is quite a difference though.
