This is my card and my Resolution for 2015. SIMPLIFY. Our pastor encouraged us to come up with a word, then a thought and then a statement for the year. Sort of like a resolution. My word is Simplify and that means "clean my Craft Room, my closets, my house and my LIFE", so this is my start.
CAS cards are always very hard for me, and this one just doesn't feel right. Well... it's naked and I guess I always want to dress them up a bit. I may try it again with a different angle or flip it or something.
You all should know I cleaned out a drawer in the desk in my Craft Room today. The only result I can see if that I have piles of stuff all over my floor that I will have to deal with very soon. Wish me luck.
On this card, the weeds are pulled so the flowers show.

I like just about everything done on kraft and your card is no exception. The pattern paper really makes the flowers stand out. I can identify with your resolution. I think cleaning my craft room is a left over resolution from last year. The pile on the floor just got bigger but not much organizing happened.

I totally understand your struggle with CAS.....I too have that issue......I always want to put another layer or another embellie........but I am learning......and your card shows that you are too
I am giggling! Um.....I have a pile growing in my craft room right now. Oh dear. I started two weeks ago to simplify. It's such hard work. I wish you the best of luck and maybe knowing you are working on this will help spur me on tomorrow to try and get another bag out of my house!
I love your card! It's beautifully CAS and so colorful with the pretty wildflowers! Beautiful!

I am on exactly the same page as you!! I have a New Years resolution to clean up, clear out, and reorganize my craft room but so far all I've managed to do is make it worse as I empty out drawers and have sorting piles all over the floor! I give each year a name and a few years ago, the name was "simplify". I like the idea - and then at the end of the year, assess how well you lived up to the name.
I love your card! I don't think it looks naked - it looks like a CAS card! Great bright flowers against the kraft background.

I love this! It's just enough and needs nothing else! The pop of color on the kraft is fantastic! What a wonderful word to live by. I think we all could use some simplification. Good luck with cleaning the drawers!
Love your CAS card! I also struggle with the CAS style - I always feel it needs layers or "something else", but I find myself drawn to the CAS cards in the gallery

Your card is so sweet and so wonderfully CAS. Good luck with the simplification goal. I'm sure you can pull it off.

this is definitely simplification. I think we're all trying to work on that one. Your CAs is delightful. You're really working this CAS challenge well.

Nice CAS and representation of simplifying. I like your little flowers. I think every person understands your drawer example. Instead of drawers, I do that with papers. Before I go through them to sort, save or discard, I tend to let lots of papers/ receipts/junk mail, etc. accumulate into an 8" pile. Mind you, the pile is neat and contained ... hee. Anyway ... when I do go through that pile, I end up with 15 more piles of stuff to put away or do something with. Same with stamps. I use them, clean them and then they go into a bin on a table in my craft room. Seems like every couple of months, I end up with a 100 stamps/sets in the bin. When I sort them out, just like the original pile of accumulated papers, I end up with 15 piles of stamps to put away. I think for almost everyone, the piles of this, that or the other thing, never end. But ... here's to our continuing efforts to SIMPLIFY!

This is so wonderful and perfectly CAS - I just love it! I need to adopt your mantra - I have stuff that has to stay on the floor because there is no where else in my room to put it. Don't be discouraged - you'll get there!
