Sabrina gave us a fun challenge of using a Foreign stamp on our cards! It was tough for me to decide between French and Spanish, but the French won this time :) (Sabrina, I know you have this wonderful stamp too!)
For the background panel, I used a stencil and my creamy metallic chalks. I water colored the image with Tim Holtz distress inks and an aqua brush. Usually I use Copic markers and color this with very vivid and bright colors. So it was nice to try this softer look. I will say, this is one of those cards I have no idea when, or to whom I would send it. LOL But I sure enjoyed playing along!

Very lovely card with the soft colors and great image and sentiment. I think you could send this to anyone - especially if they love French things or roosters (like me). Wonderfully done Kathleen! Hugz

I do, I do have that stamp, and I'm so happy to see him in the gallery today. And so beautifully coloured, Kathleen. I like the way you cut Le Chanticleer off and used it as a separate sentiment, that's a great idea. Now I want some French Onion soup!! The soft chalked background is fantastic looking, too!
