This is my card for the WT514 challenge Speaking "Foreign" - To make a card (any theme at all) that has something in a language other than English.
This was one of those rare times that a challenge card just popped into my head already completely designed. All I had to do was create it. I made my tissue box from a chipboard gift box - that was the hardest part of the card. When the light bulb went on to use two square dies instead of trying to measure and cut by hand, the rest was easy. I decided how big I wanted the box front to be, chose a square die that approximate size and one a couple of sizes bigger, positioned them on the chipboard and cut. Then I cut the resulting frame to fit the front and cut the corners at a 45 degree angle. The frame was cut from outside to inside corner and all pieces edged with Soft Pool ink. I taped the pieces together and used a slot punch to create the hole for my paper towel "tissue."
The sentiment was created in Print Shop using a font I could color in with Spectrum Noirs and printed in soft gray ink. I cut it into a banner shape and edged it with the Soft Pool ink, also.
The embossed circle is adhered directly to the card front; the tissue box is mounted on one layer of foam tape and the banner on a double layer of foam tape.
As always, thanks for looking!

What a fun and colorful way to say GET WELL to someone with your cute tissue box card - You must really be a computer geek to be creating the wavy font on your computer - I wouldn't know HOW to even begin that!! Also, I LOVE that embossing folder you used for the circle - any idea what the name of it is?? Cool look to it!!

This is brilliant Jody, both in design and execution! Love the way you created the tissue box! Don't think I ever had an idea pop in my head that was totally original! I too was wondering about the banner but you freehand cut that? It looks fabulous!
