This is my first card for 2015! Yay! I want to thank everyone who has prayed for me and sent words of encouragement. Last week I had my gall bladder removed, and I am starting to feel better each day.
Well, to my surprise, I was asked to join the "Instant Gardeners" for Power Poppy to showcase the new Instant Garden digital release on the 15th of each month. This month's gorgeous set is La Vie en Rose with two lovely sentiments. I have been a big fan of all of Marcella Hawley's artistry, and it's a delight to play with digital images - resizing them, rotating them, etc. And the best part I love is that they are available instantly!
This beautiful cottage rose was such fun to color, and I used another sentiment from the digital set called Gladioli. I kept it simple this month by matting the image, paper-piercing, and then adding one of my favorite border punches for a feminine and mailable card.
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you like it! Warm hugs to all! I've missed you all!

Marcella's artwork stands alone, Cheryl, especially when it is so beautifully coloured, but the piercing and beautiful lace border step it up that extra notch. What a beautiful mailer and first card of the new year, so glad to hear you are making a good and speedy recovery. Hugs
