When I saw Ann's poppy card it inspired the card that I needed to make for Paula's Bday. Ann leaves wonderful comments in the galley and she has an amazing gallery of different styles and techniques to choose from. Ann, ENJOY your time in the spotlight!
Mine has a die cut instead of being stamped. We both have embossed backgrounds using the Swiss Dot folder. Hers does not have a sentiment, neither does mine. My Happy Birthday die cut (quite large) is inside. I left off the ribbon, but added 2 scalloped edges instead. I also added the hand made faux paper dots, (formed with a stylus and pad using a small circle punch). I thought hers looked like a dark shade of pink, but it is actually red, so our color scheme is different as well.
The scalloped edges are just half of a SU edge punch (one that cuts both sides of the piece) I cut the Poppy at our die club so I don't know the name but I do know it is Memory Box. The frame is SB Labels 20 and it is popped up for depth and dimension.
This Bday card is for one of the employees at my local library. I am there a couple of times of week and Paula is always super helpful and VERY nice. We are fellow book lovers and it is always nice to talk with her.
Thank you for coming by to take a look. I always appreciate it!

Peggy, love how you framed your polka dotted poppies with that double frame of dies - shows off the poppies wonderfully! I do love the pink scalloped edged borders, but was flabbergasted you made your paper dots from punched tiny circles and formed them!! WOW!

Wow Peggy! I love that poppy die cut! So happy to see my favourite EF in use. :-) I think that SB framing is lovely and the pink and white colour combinations makes such a feminine card. So very pretty! Thank you so much for honouring me with this super case. It really makes my day!

You always make the most gorgeous cards, Peggy. You have such a marvelous sense of design...choosing colors, layouts, and dies that result in amazing creations. Now that I have tried 2 mostly die cut cards, I am even more in awe of your skills. Every detail of this card is perfect. Pinned abd faved.

Beautiful! I love the die cut poppies framed so elegantly, and the tiny scalloped borders. Beautiful as always!
