I love her butterfly, but alas I do not have one so
detailed, so I picked birds instead. I kept the colours close, but did not add the black, instead I inked around the edge of my paper heavily for framing and used a darker shade of cardstock for my sentiment to compliment the frame cardstock and ink shade. The stencil is MB Whimsy Branch inked with TH Distress Inks Weathered Wood (seems to be one of my faves of late). The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions April Script, and the birds are Impression Obsession Birds Large. I embossed the birds with a leaf embossing folder I have. Thanks for looking and enjoy your week Ann.

Kia....you are BRILLIANT! Love the leaf embossing on the birds....has the look of feathers and gives them dimension instead of flat cut outs. Your whole card is lovely and the TH WW is a beautiful color choice. Lovely tribute to Ann with your words and card.

Pretty card! Like the blue, stamped image and the awesome emb birds. I haven't seen that IO die, I'll have to check it out cause I'm a little bird crazy. Hee!

That is one gorgeous card Kia! I really like that stencilled background on the textured paper. That blue grey is a lovely colour and I think I have to go shopping for it now. :-) I love the effect you achieved by embossing your bird die cuts. They look like carved mother of pearl to me, like you used to get on beaded necklaces in the 70's. (you may well still get them on necklaces but this is the time frame my memory is coming from here, ha, ha!) Thank you so much for your kind words!

You did a nice job with this case!! I like the sprawling leaves in the very lovely blue!! I also like that you used two white birds instead of the butterfly. Very nicely done!!
