One of my favorite people in the world fell and broke her hip last week and will be in the hospital and rehab for a while, so I wanted a get well card that had a peaceful scene on the front. The MIX102 and the F4A434 were just what I needed for inspiration. The image panel is distress inks smeared onto a craft sheet, sprayed with water and then I pressed my cardstock into it. I had a box of sea salt (it is amazing what I can find in the pantry...I don't know when or why I bought it) which I sprinkled onto the wet cardstock. When that dried I stamped various trees and deer onto the bkg. The bkg was so dark that the black images did not show up well. I lightly colored around the images with a white prisma pencil and blended with gamisol. Then I highlighted other areas with a white gel pen, and applied a little snoe tex with a toothpick. I darkened some of the black areas with a black gel pen. The white crackle lines are done by putting a lityle bleech on a paper towel and using it with my marble stamp lije a stamp pad. The larger bkg is made with dylusion spreys. TFL, Francie

That is a lovely peaceful serene scene indeed, Francie. Great work with the bleach stamping for the MIX challenge.
I hope your friend does well - broken hips panic me because that was how my mother died, but I do know that normally recovery rates are very good, and I am sure your friend will do well. For sure I know she'll appreciate having this to look at. I really like the vivid colours in your base layer.
