MariLynn's MIX challenge was to show static electricity. I found a photo of lightning to see exactly how it might look, sponged the blue background onto white CS and then, with a very fine pointed brush and white acrylic and water, painted on the lightning. Added the white "blob" for a focal point. I stamped the trees in gray and black and clear embossed....so this isn't an embossing resist.

Tripple wow and a few OMGs for this stunning card. How cleaver you are. The lightning intensified by the white acrylic just vibrates right off the page. Right into my favs.

WOW!!! Talk about capturing lightening! My jaw dropped when I saw this one! This is incredible! What a brilliant way to do this, Sallie! It's so realistic! Love the light behind the trees!

This is so cool! Did you ink, paint and stamp on top of the photo or did you just sort of copy the photo? I'm not sure if I understood. It sounds like you did everything on top of the photo. Well, either way, it is a masterpiece!! Just brilliant!!! Looks like the lightning hit that one tree! Beautiful!!
