hi there,
Here is my card for the F4A challenge; Baby It's Cold Outside. Trust me, it is so cold and blowing snow here today that no one wants to be outside. The blowing tree branches outside my window inspired this card.
I rubbed my Distress inks onto my non-stick craft sheet, sprayed with water and dragged my paper through the wet ink. While still wet, I sprinkle on coarse Sea Salt onto the paper and left it there to dry. Brushed off the salt and stamped away.
thanks for looking,

Gosh, what a beautiful card Karen! I love the colours and thanks so much for explaining how you made your background - it is so much appreciated :-) Popped your card into my Favourites!

Love the colours you used for your background and the branches - they are swaying with the wind. I have not tried the sea salt technique, but the way you explained it makes it something I will try, thanks Karen.

Karen, this is gorgeous...you don't do anything BUT! Love your bg with the coarse salt...I can see the "bursts" the grains cause. The PB wintery brambles make a lovely silhouette and help convey the feeling of a cold winter's day. Stay warm and cozy, mf....it's sunny here, but bitterly cold with the wind.
