I know that this seems too bright and happy for such a very sad card, but I wanted to celebrate the life of Joyce's younger sister and to honor the love and friendship they shared. As soon as I read the destination for our teapotter cards, my heart ached. I am the youngest of 5 siblings and I would be devastated at the loss of any one of them. Then, special moments with each of them flooded my head. 13 years ago, when I was critcally ill in the ICU, one of my brothers seemed to be the chosen one to donate blood for a transfusion. Not only did he live 1 1/2 hours away, but he had been extremely needle phobic his whole life. When he called to check up on me, I told him to hide under the bed until the coast was clear. He answered without a seconds hesitation, "Francie, I will be there in a minute if you need me...you are the only little sister I have". I replay moments like this often and keep them in my heart. I hope that as time goes on, Joyce will be able to relive special memories in her mind and smile at the memory. Of course, none of my stamps seemed right, so this is one of my hand drawn cards. TFL, Francie

Awww Francie, your story brought tears to my eyes. Your card is lovely and after the immediacy of the event is past hopefully the more joyful memories return. Your card is for that time. It is beautiful.

What a sweet, honest, appreciative (tear jerking) note you have included in your description. After reading this I don't think I could read the Teapotters post. I love your card!!
