It's very cold right now in the northeast section of the US and I'd much rather be in this setting on the card than where I am today, but I can only dream!
I used the masking and sponging techniques to create the scene starting with the water. I punched a one inch circle from sticky note paper for the sun then sponged on the sky colors and used what was left in the sponge to go over the sun once the mask was removed. To form the clouds I tore sections out of scrap paper; if you need a visual/photo check out this blog post. The black was stamped after the sponging was completed using a stamp positioner and stamping several times to get a good coverage.
The brads are actually die cut circles attached with Aleene's tacky glue and covered with Paper Glaze.
