Another card for my January CCC commitment. I made three very similar cards; it was easy to duplicate the layout using the MISTI tool.
The image and sentiment were stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed using Liquid Platinum ep. I'm not sure what my problem with embossing was yesterday, but it looked bad so I re-stamped the image and re-embossed. That closed the swirls somewhat in the robes, and I got the genius idea (NOT) to use a fine black alcohol marker to define them. Of course I got some on the embossing and stained it while trying to clean up my mess. Some of you know I just don't give up that easily, LOL! I colored over the robes and manger with alcohol marker and smoothed it with my finger. It's a little odd, but I really like how it looks. I added Wink of Stella to the sky behind the Nativity scene, die cut the layer and matted with my last scrap of some beautiful shimmer paper that was a RAK from Nancy (stiz2003). This was adhered to the white base with Sookwang tape.
As always, thanks for looking!

I don't see a mess! I see gorgeous! How cool that looks to color over the embossing! The little bit of color adds so much to this card. I swore you had powder that came out like that! What a beautiful effect! Glad you saved this one!
