This is for my friend Padee - a fond memory from when we went to Alaska, set the alarm, and woke up to a beautiful display of Northern Lights. It's a card to thank her for being an amazing friend! I love this new phrase from SU! - it just may become my favorite.
Great challenge today. I hope ink pads and gel pens qualify - quite honestly my fingers are messier than when I play with acryllic paints!
Tutorial in the technique section here on SplitCoast. Just search on "Northern Lights." The card was super simple simon, and hecka-fun!

Wow! I love the great effect you got from this technique! I miss the aurora so badly. It is an amazingly amazing sight to behold! The trees are perfect to give the sense of scale, too. Thanks so much for playing the Mix challenge!

That's definitely two mediums, and a beautiful card. I would love to see the Northern Lights in real life; in the mean time I am working hard on improving my execution of this technique - I can't believe you describe it as simple. Maybe having seen them in real life makes it easier!!
