I found this stamp at a craft show for $1.00 and was anxious to use it. I began by painting the background in various hues of green with acrylic paint. The image was then stamped and all parts to be colored with filled with gesso. The water and waterlilies were colored with pencil Some people can color water with pencils but I'm not one of them. Izinks were sprayed on a mat and spritzed with water. Paper was dragged through it. The stamp was again stamped on the Izink colors and also on plain white. The wings were cut from the colorful Izink paper and the body from plain paper was shaded with pencils. The dragonflies were paper pieced. Thanks so much for stopping by!

YOU PAPER PIECED THE DRAGONFLIES???? WOW..that means you fussy cut in such an immaculate manner that if you had not told us how you did this I would never have known! I love how realistic the wings look. Only you could take a $1 stamp and turn it into a framable piece of art! Your green marbled looking background reminds me of tile work from the 50's! I have gone back to look at this over and over...the shading on the bodies is another huge WOW! Your water lily's are a thing of beauty...so wonderfully colored! I too need a favorites gallery of just your work!

Oh Nancy, this is so amazing. It really belongs framed on a wall or as part of an oriental screne. The shades of green and blue are so pretty with the very light flowers. It has a wonderful exotic feel. Ringt into my favs.
