My final project for the January 2015 Creative Crew. We were challenged to take an old frame and re-purpose it with "stuff" in a guy's garage.
I REALLY struggled with this one...I'm married to an accountant...I spend more time in the garage than he does! LOL. So I used my father as my inspiration and made this for his workshop.
I embossed the Tool Shed background stamp onto Silver Foil cardstock using Black emboss powder and then fussy cut out the tools. They really look like authentic metal tools but that was hard to capture in the photograph. I laid them out to spell the word "papa" which is what all his grandkids call him. The background is the Hardwood stamp...used grey tones and some swipes of Whisper White to knock back the colour a bit.
Mounted into a frame and a few hardware brads to complete the look. Its clean and uncluttered but definitely masculine. I'm so happy with the final outcome !!! Papa will get this as a Father's Day gift
TFL!!!
