To work with the hue, tint and shade and tone, I poured 4 puddles of laguna paint onto an acetate report folder. I added white paint to one puddle, I added black paint to another puddle and I added black and white to a third puddle and I left one puddle the original color. I took a piece of white cardstock that I had printed a digital grunge image on. I didn't want brush strokes, so I took a paper towel and dipped it into the lightest puddle first. I blotted it off on a scrap piece of paper so that you could see the texture of the paper towel on the grunge paper. I went from lightest puddle of paint to darkest. That is my background behind the butterflies. I added cheesecloth, gold thread, smooch, and gold fabric paint to finish off the card.
