This a birthday card for my nephew, who loves Red Velvet cake with buttercream frosting.
The image was stamped , diecut with MFT pierced rectangles, and the entire cupcake die cut and then placed back in the negative space. Stamped twice more and colored, individual pieces die cut and layered onto the original image. the candle was glued directly on the image; the flame, icing and cupcake liner are attached with foam tape. The icing was painted with a thin coat of Frost Shimmer Spritz.
The blue cs was embossed and sanded before being diecut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle die; it's adhered to the card base with Sookwang tape, as is the focal.
As always, thanks for looking!

Jody, this is such a terrific card. All the little details, especially the parts that are raised, are amazing. You reminded me that I still want to try putting the image back into the negative space...this is the perfect image for that technique. Right into my favs.
