Today for the IC challenge inspiration, Audrie took us to the Packaging board of Joy on Pinterest. She has pinned a variety of cool stuff. I was inspired by this this bottle. I used my Hero Arts tree dies to cut a variety of SU and scrap BLUE cardstock (in the picture, the SU midnight muse and not quite navy look black but they are not) and printed papers. With my MFT stitched scallop dies, I cut three progressive "snow" mounds. I stamped my base with my MFT Nordic Knits stamp in SU brilliant blue (I cleaned off that darn SU real red but there was just enough on it to mix w/the blue to make it look purple-ish instead of brilliant blue, but it turned out okay.) Added snow mounds (glued bottom and a little on each side to leave the top open to "tuck" in some of the tree trunks) and arranged trees on them. Stamped PS greeting with SU brilliant blue. I applied glitter glue to all of the solid color trees. I should have used my finger to smooth it out because one of the looks "streaky." :(
CONGRATS to Tenia, our new QFTD241! I've liked all of her cards that I've seen through the yrs. My card was inspired by this card of hers. I kept the snow mounds and trees. Instead of snowflakes in the sky, I used the Nordic knit stamp. I left off the truck and added a greeting.
