My good friend, Loll Thompson, and I have done some watercolour techniques together so I thought I'd learn a new one for her Christmas card. She's received the card so I can now post it.
I admire Heather T's cards so much and fell in love with this card on her blog:
I CASEed it pretty closely so that I could learn her technique from the description she gave on her blog (thank you, Heather!). But I did change the stamps and the colour of the cardbase.

Gorgeous card and amazing technique Susan. This card looks even better in real life. Thank you so much, my friend! Looking forward to spending more time experimenting with new techniques with you in 2015.

Beautiful CASE of a lovely card, Susan......and to tell the truth, I like yours better with a bit more color surrounding the holly panel. Your watercoloring is lovely and I'm sure Loll is enjoying this wonderful gift of friendship.

This is beautiful, Susan! Love that holly and you've got just the right amount of bleeding. I always have a mess when I try that technique! This is perfect for Loll!

Susan, I REALLY like how this turned out! I love Heather T and her techniques but after watching how easily she does it, that certainly does not happen here! What a beautiful job you did with this!

Lovely result! You have a achieved such a soft water color effect using Heather's technique. I LOVE the rich pearly green of the background and framing it in red with the white die cut holly is just SOOOO beautiful! Well done....
