This is for Susan's VSN challenge from last night ~ Frozen Lake, to use the Cracked Glass technique.
I combined it with today's IC challenge from Audrie.
Initially I picked out a feather pillow when I was browsing the site on the laptop. But I didn't bookmark it, and when I put "Feather" into the search box and found these feather ornament I changed tack. This will be an anniversary card for my brother next week.
Stamped the feather, coloured them with pencils and did the cracked glass.
For the base, I embossed white card with a feather ef and brayered with Peacock ink. I diecut a scalloped oval from acetate and embossed it, then edged both it, the feather oval and the base with a gold pen. I popped the feather up on foam dots and finished it off with gold twine and a pearl.
Thanks, Susan and Audrie.
If you want to join in with the VSN fun, there's a 6-month fan club membership/extension to be randomly drawn as a prize for each of the challenges.

Beautiful, Sabrina! I've never seen that embossing folder before -- will have to look for it! Your peacock feather in the cracked glass is lovely! I can never get cracked glass to work well for me. I think I read that it's the humidity.

Super cool colors and dimension. Such a pretty take on the inspiration piece. (one of those cards you can stare at a very long time-such depth of color!)
