This is rare...2 cards in one day. However, before you gasp at this card making accomplishment, I have to admit that the bkg was from my stash and I had made a lot of butterflies months ago when I had time. I was waiting to feel inspired about what to do with this bkg, when I saw the MIX98 challenge to use sprey inks and glitter. So, the bkg is dylusion spreys spritzed all over white cardstock. I let the dylusions sit on the paper for a few extra seconds to get a more saturated color. Then I sponged some TH distress inks in similar colors to further intensify the colors. I sprayed with water for some splatter affects then splattered a little watered down black acrylic paint. Made some dots and swirls with stickles and attached my butterflies. There is a lot more sparkle IRL... as always, the photo never looks like the real card. TFL, Francie

I do love backgrounds especially ones with rich, bold colors and this one is fabulous! The bright butterflies are so perfect for this. It sounds like this was SO fun to do too! Would have loved to watch you design this! Love it!

The photo never looks like the real card - i agree. Yours must be doubly amazing then, because this one has so much richness and pop and color and wow. Very eye-catching standout in the gallery today. I love it.

I'm reminded of Mardi Gras with the wonderful colors and sparkle of your design. I love the splatters, and boy you were right on using the Ranger distress inks to add and bring out the colors even more! And, like most of us, it's always fun to find something we've put back and can now find purpose for. Great card!
