 | | This is for Judy's terrific Technique Challenge - Mini Treat Bags. Judy gave us a link to Debby Hughes mini treat bag tutorial, click here to learn how, it is really great.
I used the tutorial to make a treat bag without a die. Instead of making the bag from a 5" x 8.5" piece of cardstock, I used a 6.5" x 8.25" piece of black cardstock.
The silver is a strip of self adhesive roofing tape. I adhered it to a piece of cardstock and sanded it with rough sandpaper (to remove a protective coating that repels ink and paint) then embossed it. I squirted some black paint on it and rubbed it over the embossed panel with my fingers. I wiped my fingers with a baby wipe, then using the same wipe, gently rubbed it over the panel. Before sticking the bag together, I attached the checkerplate panel.
Finished off with some silver twine, handmade tag and wrote "Thank You" with a white pen.
This was great fun and by using a ScorPal it was really quick and simple to make. It would be a good masculine gift bag for theatre tickets, money or vouchers. As it is made from cardstock (app 280gsm), it stands up very nicely.
Thank you for looking ladies. Hope you all have a great week.
