PAPYRUS ONLINE is the inspiration site for today's challenge. I chose this CARD for mine. After masking out my stocking, I did the gingham bg by sponging with various yellows, then stamping with the gingham backgrounder stamp...all in TH Distress inks.....misted with water, and sprayed with Mr.Huey's.

Beautifully done in your warm, Christmas colors! I love the way you watercolored your stocking, shading it so perfectly! The gingham turned out beautifully with the technique you described! Love it on the red striped background!

Yep!! See what I mean...;)) Sallie, even though the pattern is soft and muted, I am in awe of your golden lit gingham background and the process by which it came about. Such a gorgeous warm highlight for your beautifully crafted stocking, which is further added to by the lovely wispy holly creation above it. I bet the recipients of your artwork just wait with eager anticipation to see what little treasure you deliver into their hands. My dear sweet mom K. Has kept and made a scrapbook of all the cards I've done for her over the years; some I had long forgotten and made prior to my uploading years!!

Sallie, I love this sweet Christmas stocking against your created gingham BG. Your colors or wonderful. And the holly die cut is the perfect embellishment. A wonderful inspired card.
