This is for my wonderful friend Sue's birthday. She always makes my birthday special and she has generously shared dies with me on many an occasion. I wanted her card to be very special.
I started by cutting a rounded edge square and then die cutting the Spellbinder corners into each side of it. I used dimensionals to attach the blue pearl paper layer and then attached that to my embossed (Embossalicious) layer. I didn't have a large enough piece of the ivory pearl card stock to create a card base, so I cut one side of a 6 inch ivory panel 3/4 of an inch longer, scored a fold and glued that to the back of this creating the card base.(I did use another piece to cover that) I picked up this set of Spellbinder flowers (there are 3 sizes) at the convention for $5 and I cut 4 of each flower. I used the bone folder to form the petals and a stylus to give them more dimension. I used a half pearl and my favorite Star Dust Stickles in the center of each flower.
It took SEVERAL days to try and figure out what I wanted to make and then a day and a half to actually make the card. I had a lot of fun making it and blue is Sue's favorite color so naturally that had to be the accent.
Thank you SO much for stopping by to take a look! It is always appreciated.

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock

Oh Peggy, this is so incredibly amazing. I love everything about this gorgeous card. I am totally lost how you made it, but it sure sounds like it took a lot of patience. The soft blue is just the perfect color for the flowers. The die cut center panel with the blue peeking through is lovely and the embossing along the outer edge is genius. Pinned and faved.

WOW, Peggy...it is INDEED SPECIAL!!....and gorgeous too. Those flower dies with the veining on the petals are exquisite and of course, your composition and combination of other die cuts is perfection.

WOW! Those are some of the most beautiful dies and embossing folders I have ever seen and only you would construct something this elegant with them! The flowers are gorgeous and formed so beautifully. I love how you used the stickles sparingly, adding just a bit of something to the centers without upstaging your fabulous design. Love that soft blue color on it Peggy!
