I made this as a sympathy card for our preacher. His mother just passed away on Thanksgiving. This is the first time I ever used the book ef, and was a little intimidated by it. When I started out I didn't really like how it looked, but I started it, so I decided I would finish and just see how it came out. I was going to stamp a rose, color, and fussy cut, but I think I'm glad I did the die cut rose instead. The "Holy Bible" is cut from Lyrical letters cricut cartridge. I also used the fork method to make a nice fluffy bow. I really like how my card turned out , although I think it would have been better if I had scored the leaves.
Thanks for looking!

This really does make a lovely sympathy card for a man. So sorry for his loss. He will appreciate your kind work on his behalf. Your rose embellishment turned out great as did your little fork bow; I have that method pinned but haven't tried it. Looks like it works great, Geni!

A beautiful and touching sympathy card for your preacher, Geni. The Bible looks so real. I applaud you for carrying on when at first you weren't that pleased. Obviously, your card "blossomed" like your rose into a beautiful card.

This is so beautiful for your pastor. I love seeing a worn Bible looking as if it has been used a lot. The rose is gorgeous

I really like the look of the Bible, somewhat worn and definitely the way a Pastor's Bible should be! Love your sweet bow and beautiful sprig of roses, Geni~
