For this week's diy dp technique challenge and CAS tree challenge.
I enjoy piecing quilts, and have recently discovered the magic of "disappearing" quilt blocks. The bg on this card features the disappearing hourglass block.
Eyes crossed, and tongue held just right, I sponged the edges of each piece...
The tree and thanks die cuts were shaded ever so lightly with some copic colors.

Brenda this is amazing - thanks so much for the link to the video - I had to watch it because I didn't understand what you meant by disappearing of quilt blocks. This opened a whole new world to me! You did a beautiful job with this technique!

What a fantastic background! I have a friend who is a quilter. I am going to ask about this disappearing block technique; she will be intrigued if she doesn't already know about it. Back to your card which is lovely! The tree and little bird house is a really nice motif for a thank you card. TFS

What a soft backdrop to the tree. I love the disappearing blocks, too. I hadn't seen the disappearing hour glass before. It creates a fabulous star. The videos do such a good job of explaining how to create them and your card is wonderful.
