Joan has given us a fun TLC challenge to use scraps. The scraps here were left over pieces from 7 different backgrounds.
After cutting many scraps I inked the edges with walnut stain distress ink. I didn't line all the pieces up very well so I placed extra pieces over the top to cover up my blunders. I rather liked this look so I layered a few more pieces.
I added the black bamboo using a glue stick and stamped the sentiment. I had lots of fun making this and if I live to be 194 I should make some sort of dent in my scrap box LOL.

Another spectacular creation, Susie. You chose the perfect sentiment - the style of the writing goes so well with the over all look of the card. If we put a collection together of both of our "background trimmings" and sold them for 10 cents each, we could end world hunger. Love the rich red colors. First of my favs for the week and pinned.

Susie - what a beautiful card - sometimes those misfits are all part of the plan My husband keeps trying to empty my scrap box while I'm attached to his leg screaming "noooooo" - only another stamper would understand the insanity...
