This is for Michelle's fun "Ways To Use It" challenge - Easy does it - a simple holiday card that can be massed produced.
I don't think I have ever made such a quick card. I checked the clock when I started and again when I finished. I made these 6 cards, pegged out a load of washing and put the kettle on in 40 minutes (I forgot I was timing myself).
I have two huge pizza boxes overflowing with mixed media backgrounds - one contains good backgrounds and offcuts, the other contains rejected backgrounds - I consider them a work in progress LOL. The backgrounds for these cards are from the good box.
When ever I make a background I use an entire A4 sheet, sometimes I cut the sheet into thirds or quarters before I start, other times I just colour the whole sheet and work out later how it will be cut.
The very top card has a smaller background than the others, it was a little left over piece that was too nice to throw out. This layout is perfect for any size offcut or card. The die is a gorgeous Poppy Stamps die that I quickly cut in my Vagabond. I only adhered the die on the solid bits of the centre.
Peggy (jasonw1) makes the most beautiful monochromatic cards using this die. Check this out here . I am the very proud owner of one of these beautiful cards from Peggy.
Thank you for looking ladies.
