WooHoo it is Tickle a Teapotter time of the month and our Miss Gabby aka gabalot has written a fun Christmas story for us. Twinkle McSparkles and Maple Sugar Socks need our help to wrap Chrissie presents.
Here we have Molly and Polly wrapping and stacking the gifts for the elves to pick up and deliver to Santa. Agupie is concerned that she will be on the naughty list (again), so she is taking precautions and is stashing one of the gifts upstairs.
Molly, Polly and Agupie are technically orphans as the digi stamp website they came from has closed down. I printed the image in two sizes, young Polly is not only smaller, but she also had her shins accidentally removed during the fussy cutting process. Not to worry, I gave her new shoes and she looks quite happy now.
Agupie is wearing a very large handmade Santa hat...it needed to be big to cover the bad hair colouring and subsequent hole on the side her face where I tried to rub some colour off.
Only the girls' hair and skin was done with Copics, everything else was coloured with an aqua pen and only three Distress Inks - Fired Brick, Mowed Lawn and Spiced Marmalade.
On a sheet of aluminium foil, give one firm smack of each colour onto al foil, leaving about 2" in between each colour. Squirt a tiny amount of water in one corner of each colour. The watered edge of each ink blob is very light, the centre is a medium shade and a couple of edges will be very concentrated. I put the red and orange next to each other on the foil sheet and actually blended the two in one small section.
Many of you know that I use kitchen aluminium foil instead of a craft mat, mainly for the convenience and clean up, but also it helps with distress ink colouring. On the tan coloured craft mat the colours don't look "true" like they do on foil. If you have to leave your work for a short period you can squirt on a little bit more water to refresh the ink.
The tree was made by punching a gazillion leaves and using a clear glossy glue, I adhered the leaves to an acetate shaped tree.
I had heaps of fun making this, especially knowing it is going to a Teapotter. Happy Thanksgiving - I am very thankful to know you all. xx
Edit: I forgot to say I covered nearly everything with a clear Wink of Stella brush. They don't photograph well, but in real life they have a lovely little sparkle. They come in many colours...save your money, only buy clear.

What a hoot! I love Agupie hiding a gift upstairs in case. You have so captured the wonderful feel of Christmas with this. It brings back memories - we used to be told that we couldn't go downstairs to open our stockings till I think it was 7 o'clock. And sometimes my dad or older half-brother had fixed a trip-switch across the stairs, so we were afraid to go down too early, and my younger brother and sister used to wake up way to early and come in to me.
Whoever gets this is going to be one lucky Teapotter.

Love looking at your little story card and having a giggle at the "mishaps" so creatively covered up. That tree is spectacular and has a lovely shimmer to it. Great combination of colours too - hard to believe there is only three distress inks. Going to have to check out these "wink of stellar" thingies - he he. Three little girls who are definitely ready and waiting for Christmas.

Oh, Susie, your step cards delight me probably the most of all your work (but it all delights me)! Sweet sis, you have once again outdone yourself with this absolutely darling card! I just love all the "kids" with their gifts and adore your Christmas tree! I believe you are getting your money's worth from that MS punch! Hugs, sis!
