This is for Lee's fun snowflake CAS challenge (I never thought I would use CAS and fun in the same sentence).
I have taken about 40 photos of this trying to get the true colour. In real life there are many, many shades of purple, some are quite bright even though it is basically a dark background.
The background is an off cut that I saved in my mixed media box. Dylusions ink sprays and distress inks were used. To brighten it up a bit before using today, I scrubbed some hot pink distress ink all over the card, then flicked water on it, then quickly blotted the water with a tissue. This lightened up the 3.5" x 3.5" piece and it makes for an interesting pattern .
A few stickles were randomly added on the top section and also on the Christmas tree. The tree was made by adhering the snowflakes to a tree shaped piece of acetate.
Thank you for looking.

What a delight this is! I love the texture of the white paper. It so looks like snow that the wind has scoured. Your background is fabulous and the snowflake tree is stunning. Adhering the flakes to acetate is a great idea. (note to self...REMEMBER that!)

You have some spectacular colors in that background and what a wonderful idea to create the tree with snowflakes. Love the use of the acetate in forming it too. You always present us with wonderful and unique ideas! That textured white frame is fantastic with the rich, dark main panel!
