 | | Loll Thompson's Twelve Tags of Christmas event has stretched my use of mixed media. I finally feel I've achieved some true mixed media with this tag - the fifth one I've done for her blog.
A friend lent me her Bister powders to try. I sprinkled some blue on the top half and some green on the bottom half of a piece of watercolour paper, then spritzed with water till I got a nice blend of colours. When dry, I stamped first and second generation trees in green. I sprinkled with Frantage embossing enamel and heated from behind. I added a die cut deer and Christmas star. I made a gold heat embossed sentiment label to ground the deer, and sprinkled some of the Frantage on it as well. My sentiment was off-centre so I added a small gold star on the left. Ribbon and cord finished it off.
