This week's color challenge colors are Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake and for dessert Emboss Resist.
I don't have Stampin Up, in fact there is not a Stampin Up rep for 200 miles. Rather sad isn't it? I pulled the colors up and opened them in different programs but each looked different. Oh blast! So, I made 2 cards, matching as best I could to the pics I had.
I stamped the background trees with TH Distress Old
Paper and embossed with clear embossing powder which made the tress look like the Crumb Cake paper color. I then stamped the main trees with TH distress Brushed Corduroy and heat embossed again with the clear embossing powder. I added the snow line with pigment ink and added embossing powder to it as well, then inked with the old paper. I inked the trees with pigment ink only on the dp side of the paper, leaving the snow. I added the ink around the base of the tree and added some signo pen to the tree branches and base of the tree, along with specks of snow falling. The sentiment is computer generated. I added the twine and button (the color of crumb cake) to the 2 top layers. The 3rd layer is lace scanned with the color added and printed to fit as a border for the top 2 panels.
Thanks for looking ...

Great job on this lovely card, and thanks for describing all the steps you took to achieve the effect--icy cool, and yet very feminine. Beautiful card!

What a great job you have done with these colors, Kia. So many great details in your work that make it special. All that embossing and gel pen really paid off as this is a real pretty card.

Another gorgeous card Kia! Your details are wonderful and I love your tree stamp! When I saw our colors I immediately thought of warm weather but you really opened my eyes with this one! You have created a wonderful chilly scene with such warm colors!
